Seawall Repair
Seawalls are an important component of protecting land from eroding into the body of water it sits on. Whether your property is on a no wake zone canal or a sports lake, the ever present motion of water lapping up against the seawall will eventually erode away even the best built wall. Water only needs a few cracks or holes to infiltrate and start pulling dirt out to the body of water. This leaves weak soil and noticeably sunk ground behind the seawall. This could also create issues at structures such as homes, docks or boat sheds if they are built near the weakening soil.

Why We Use Polyurethane for Seawall Repair
Seawall Repair using polyurethane foam is a simple, yet long term solution to protecting against soil erosion at seawalls. After evaluating the wall for where leaks or voids could be, small rods are inserted at various depths of 9 feet, 6 feet, and 3 feet. The polyurethane liquid is injected into the ground where it travels the path of least resistance expanding and hardening. This accomplishes a few things:
- Displaces water that is currently being held in the ground
- Solidifies the soil increasing load bearing capacity
- Fills any voids created by the eroded soil
- Seals any cracks or holes in the seawall
How Long Does Seawall Repair Take?
The process works regardless of wall construction, can take as short as an afternoon, and cost a small fraction of a total seawall rebuild. Since the foam is hydrophobic it doesn’t allow water to seep through, essentially creating a 2nd barrier to the seawall. Environmental concerns are taken seriously and proper certifications can be provided since the foam has been rigorously tested and does not leach chemicals.
